What Have You Always Wanted To Do?

Are there any really interesting goals that you want to achieve? Are there any you have buried because you just don’t have the time? When we get older then our lives tend to fill up with boring, mundane day to day activities and we are so wrapped up in them then we forget about all the great hobbies we’ve wanted to take up, or skills that we’ve wanted to try and master?

Like lots of people want to know how to learn guitar, yet they never take that next step to actually get lessons or buy a good course. Maybe you are interested in something else though, like becoming an artist, or learning to sing, or even learning to cook? Learning new skills and hobbies is a great way to meet new people, spend your time productively (rather than watching TV) and it also gives you a real sense of achievement when you finally do something you have always wanted to.

You need to be strong willed in your pursuit of your dreams though. Our minds start to rebel when we find out it will be hard work and may make us go out of our comfort zones so we come up with all these reasons that we can’t go and get lessons, or can’t find time to practice etc, when really we are just scared of failing. Yes you might not be good at your new hobby/skill, that is just part of life, but at least once you have tried it then you can move on and find something you are good at. I have heard of 80 year olds climbing mountains because it was their dream, so don’t ever use age as an excuse to stop you achieving your dreams.
